provides amazing opportunities for United Methodist youth in the state of Arkansas to strengthen their faith in Christ in three different areas: leadership, fellowship, and serving.

Youth Led Ministry

Members plan every event from the beginning to the end and work tirelessly behind the scenes to make those events happen.

We are a welcoming community of people aligned in belief and purpose, and devoted to serving others

Every Christian is a witness for Christ.

Because of what God has done for us

Youth developing into leaders

We Create the Space

So God can changes hearts, minds, and lives

Do you believe that youth have a voice in the United Methodist Church? Do you wish your voice could be heard? Then consider joining the Arkansas Conference Council on Youth Ministries (ACCYM) this spring! Youth in grades 10 – 12 serve on the ACCYM for an entire calendar year. So every year there are openings for new youth to join and become part of a great discipleship and personal growth experience! Now is the time to add your name and your voice to this group whose entire focus is connecting youth to God through the church.

The ACCYM helps youth develop into leaders at all levels in the United Methodist Church, from local church youth groups to conference boards and agencies, and even to our jurisdictional and global councils on youth ministry. We also seek to promote youth to be in ministry, both lay and ordained.

The ACCYM also seeks to promote service outreach to youth. We encourage youth to serve and help their local communities and the Arkansas community at large. In addition to initiatives such as Ingathering and 200, 000 reasons, the ACCYM helps promote the Youth Service Fund, the youth fundraising missions arm of the UMC!

The ACCYM is also about fellowshipping with fellow United Methodist youth and adult leaders from around the state of Arkansas! We do this by creating and promoting conference-wide youth rallies such as Veritas, Assembly, and Refuge that strengthen the bonds of Christian fellowship.

Strengthening In Faith

Above all else, the ACCYM works to help youth become real disciples of Jesus Christ! We help youth develop a life-long personal faith commitment to the Christian gospel, and educate youth on social and missional issues for which they may advocate.

What to Expect

Veritas is the premier event for ACCYM. Each year, more than 1,400 youth and youth leaders from across the Arkansas Conference come together to celebrate what it means to live a connected Christian life. Nationally-known speakers and musicians headline this amazing experience, where young people will learn to encounter the Lord in new and deeper ways.

Unforgettable experience

Held at the Convention Center in Rogers, AR, Veritas is by far the largest event of the year. It is the one time of year we can truly be of one body.

Connecting with others

Build community by connecting with other believers, and make lifelong friendships through knowing that you are worthy of love and praise.

But what does it mean to worship? Worship describes those times when we gather deliberately and seek to encounter God in Christ. God uses worship to transform lives, heal wounded souls, renew hope, shape decisions, provoke change, inspire compassion, and bind people to one another. The word passionate expresses an intense desire, an ardent spirit, strong feelings, and the sense of heightened importance. Veritas is where we practice Passionate Worship.

Refuge is an opportunity for youth in grades 6th-9th to be introduced to the connectional events of ACCYM. Held at Shepard of the Ozarks, a retreat center located in the heart of Arkansas, they enjoy a weekend in the beautiful outdoors while getting away from the hustle and bustle of school life. Refuge also provides a great chance for youth to refocus their hearts and minds on God without the distractions of daily life.

Refuge is just one of the milestones on the road to strengthening our people’s faith in Jesus Christ. Our vision is clear, just like our hearts. And we believe that success comes to those who believe. We believe in Christ, and we believe in the power that he has invested in us; we must then help make this world a better place. Join us in our venture to do so!.

We believe that we minister to others through our music.  Touring is an important outreach ministry which allows us to share our faith with others. We believe that we represent our church and the church universal by projecting a very positive image of Christian youth today. We believe the music we learn and share makes a difference.

JH | SH Assembly

Assembly is a week of discipleship featuring awesome worship, awesome people and one awesome God. It’s joining together with others your age to learn, grow, and laugh. It’s waking up and worshiping through word and song. It’s coming to an event and leaving with a “family”. It’s an opportunity to open up, to get real, to focus. It’s a chance to shift your thoughts, your actions, and your life from things of this world to the heart of Jesus. After all, true worship takes place when all people within a community seek the presence of God and are accepting of each other. That’s the biggest part of Assembly.

ACCYM seeks to ensure that the current generation of young people is fully equipped with the teachings of Christ in order to make them Christ-centered individuals. ACCYM seeks to encourage growing numbers of youth in the Arkansas Conference as a way to develop them physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually and prepare them for the current world and the world that generations after them will grow up in.
